Yoga poses to relieve stress and boost immunity!

Meditation with heart centered slow conscious breathing, with the eyes closed focus the gaze back and down at the heart or at the third eye point, feel the rise and fall of sensation, observe the thoughts pass by like waves of the ocean, breath in and out



Heart Tapping - sit crossed legged or any comfortable seat, gently tap your heart center (below the collar bones) and thymus gland (on the left side just above the heart) with fists or finger tips




Restorative heart opener - lie over a bolster or rolled blanket supporting the spine, breath deep, rest one hand on the belly and one hand on the heart, repeat the affirmation to yourself "I am happy", "I am healthy", "I am free of disease", "I live with ease"



Lie on the belly with deep belly breathing, support your forehead by resting your head on your stacked palms, take deep belly breaths, move your hips gently side to side to release and soften the muscles along the back, breath into your back body/kidney area



Sphinx pose - lie on the belly and come to your forearms with elbows bent below the shoulders and make cat/cow type movements, inhale draw the chest forward and look up, exhale lift the belly and tuck the chin, repeat several times



Lie on the belly with deep belly breathing, support your forehead by resting your head on your stacked palms, take deep belly breaths, move your hips gently side to side to release and soften the muscles along the back, breath into your back body/kidney area



Legs up the wall - bring one hip to the wall and swing your legs up the wall, breath deep



Apanasana the cure all pose in viniyoga - lie on back, draw knees to chest, rest hands on knees, inhale draw knees away, exhale draw knees in towards belly, repeat




Savasana/Corpse pose - lie flat on your back, let the feet fall out to the sides, arms down by your sides, palms facing up, tuck your shoulder blades underneath you gently, feel the support of the earth below, always there, the only thing you need
